Authorities requested a helicopter to transportation a bike rider who crashed on Highway 150 west of Lake Casitas Monday afternoon.
The incident was documented shortly ahead of 1 p.m. around the Purple Mountain Fireplace Highway, in which a compact Casitas Municipal Water District developing stands around a traffic pullout overlooking the lake.
Ventura County firefighters described finding a single individual with critical accidents. Crews asked for a helicopter for air transport, but took the rider by ground to the close by U.S. Forest Support Station 51 to meet the helicopter, radio site visitors indicated.
The helicopter, Ventura County Sheriff’s Copter 9, flew the rider to Ventura County Clinical Middle, according to radio communications.
The incident blocked eastbound lanes for a time, the California Freeway Patrol described. Visitors was slow in each directions near the crash website.
